The best desktop clock!

Don’t leave your iPhone asleep on your desk, put it to good use. Plug it in and use this App. Not just a clock, Work Time is your second screen. The time, date, calendar, your schedule of upcoming events, and current weather conditions all at a glance.

Insanely simple to use. Elegant in its execution. Incredibly useful.

Weather and short term forecast powered by Forecast.io from the team that made the “DARK SKY” app. Never get caught off guard by the rain again.

– All new for iOS 7.
– Large easy to read clock.
– Current month and date.
– Scrollable list of all your upcoming events.
– Tap on event to edit and delete.
– Tap on small + to add new events.
– Current weather and short term forecast. (powered by Forecast.io).
– Never get bored with over 10 different styles and colors to choose.
– Dock it any way you want, it supports landscape and portrait orientation.
– iPhone 5 optimized.

I wanted this app but could not find its equivalent in the app store, so I made it for myself. Now I use it every day at work. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Enjoy!

      Claude,

Thank you for the feed back! This is a common request. So common that I have already made the change. The update with the change was submitted to Apple for review just this week. With any luck it will be approved before Apple shuts down for Christmas next week.

      Cheers!

    Hi Nick…

Being a great of Nite Time I downloaded Work Time as soon as I received the notification that it was in the App Store… It looks great, however I have had to reinstall it three times as once I’ve used it and then hit the home button it will not restart, just blank screen and then it shuts down, and I have to reinstall it to make it work again… I have a 4s and all up to date with OS… Any ideas???????

First off thank you for your support. This feed back whether good or bad will help me to deliver a better product in the future.

I am sorry that it is not working right for you. Lets see if we can get to the bottom of this. I have a few questions for you that you may or may not wish to respond to in this public forum.

You are welcome to respond to me at:

      nickfanger AT gmail DOT com

      Questions:
-Did you approve access to Calendars?
-Did you approve access to Locations?
-What language setting do you use?
-What region format setting do you use?
-What is your general location (city or town)? Maybe the requests for the weather in your location are screwing up.

Thank you for your time and patience!

Claude, I’m sorry it is not working for you. I would like to see if I can fix it. Please answer a few questions:
-Did you approve access to Calendars?
-Did you approve access to Locations?
-What language setting do you use?
-What region format setting do you use?
-What is your general location (city or town)? Maybe the requests for the weather in your location are screwing up.

Since this is a public forum I doubt you would like to answer those questions here.

Please note there is a critical error (bug) in the current version of Work Time that will cause the app to crash a lot when the temperature is set to Celsius. I’ve fixed the error and resubmitted to apple but due to apple taking off a week during the Holidays I do not think it will be approved until the first week of February.

In the meantime I suggest you use the app with only the Fahrenheit setting, and wait until the next version is approved.

If this is untenable, I can send you a fixed version if you are willing to sign up as a Beta tester. Please email me at:

I am sorry to hear that.

I will look into it. Based on your description of the bug I think I know what is going on and it should not be too difficult to fix.

      Thanks for the feed back.

Have to wait until Apple approves update. I will keep you posted.

If you want the updated version now, I can sign you up as a tester and send you a version before it is approved for the app store.

I thought the time and calender would show as the “sleep” screen, which would make this a usefull app to me. However I get the usual black screen and have to unlock with password and to to ghe app . May as well go to the calendar then? Did I miss an option/setting?

First of thank you for downloading the app and for taking the time to provide feedback.

I wish I could add the feature you suggested, unfortunately Apple does not let developers add anything to the lock screen :( If Apple ever does I be right on it.

      Thanks,

      Nick Fanger

Love the app, the only negative is when I leave my desk I don’t know if I missed a call or email. It would be great to have a notification spot for phone calls or emails

Excellent idea! I’ve run into the same problem myself while I use the app at work. My current solution is to pull down the notification center if I’ve been away from my desk for very long. I’m running iOS7 beta on my phone and the notification center is much improved over iOS6.

I’ll look into adding something to the app that would indicate a missed notification. But I have a feeling that Apple will not have provided developers an api that would let us know when the phone received a notification from another app. For security reasons all the apps are very compartmentalized so Apple does not let my app Work Time access info. from other apps. But because it would be a great feature I’ll dig into it more.

But first I have to finish up the iOS 7 updates :)

thanks for downloading the app and giving a bit of feedback!

Love this app and going nuts that I can’t have it for my iPad!
Reasonably priced, the iPad would be so worth it!
Any plans to make it available soon?

    Great work!

I agree a iPad version of Work Time would be awesome! I do plan on doing it. Currently I am working on the iOS7 update for all my apps, but after that the iPad version of Work Time is first on the list. I work full time as a structural engineer so developing iOS apps is something I do in my free time. It can be slow going at times.

Thanks for the feedback and don’t forget to rate the app :)

Sounds like you need to give Work Time permission to use your location.

You can do that in “Settings” under “Privacy” then under “Location Services”

Let me know if you need more help.
